Marie-Pascale Pomey is a professor in the Department of Management, Evaluation and Health Policy of the School of Public Health of the University of Montreal, researcher at the Research Center of the Center hospitalier universitaire de Montréal (CRCHUM) at the Carrefour de l'Innovation and health assessment.
She is also a medical consultant at the National Institute of Excellence in Health and Social Services (INESSS) where she is responsible for the CoMPAS program for the improvement of first-line services and where she participates in the integration of patients and families. in all the work of INESSS.
She directed the international master's degree, the DESSS and the microprogram in management of quality and safety of care, QUÉOPS-i from 2005 to 2017.
Since March 2017, she has held a Chair in the evaluation of advanced technologies and practices at the CHUM. Its research program, which focuses on the engagement of citizens and patients in the transformation of organizations and the health system, has three axes: 1) the contribution of new technologies in health, in changes in relationships between professionals health and patients as well as in the organization of care; 2) assessing the contribution of the participation of patients and their families at all levels of the health system (political, organizational and in care); 3) the development of tools to measure the engagement of patients and their families at all levels of the health system.
