Alexandre is a passionate and socially engaged individual who studied theoretical physics, management, theology and philosophy.

Project lead for the reform of the medical program at the University of Montreal from 2010 to 2012, pedagogical advisor at the Office for Patient Partnership from 2014 to 2016 and then strategic advisor at the CEPPP from 2016 to 2019, Alexandre has accompanied the deployment of the culture and practices of partnership with patients in most spheres of the health ecosystem in Canada for nearly ten years.

Based in France since 2019, he continues this mission by accompanying several healthcare institutions and services (Les Hospices Civils de Lyon, Assistance Publique des Hôpitaux de Paris, CHU de Bordeaux, several institutions in the Breton region, etc.); by intervening in the governance, projects and training of several institutions (Haute Autorité de Santé (HAS), medical faculties of Brest, Rennes and Strasbourg, Agence Nationale d'Appui à la Performance des établissements de santé (ANAP), etc.) and by acting as a catalyser for collaboration between key actors focused on democracy in health (France Assos Santé, Savoirs Patients, etc.).

In 2022, he was also entrusted by the French Ministry of Health with the mission of co-leading the methodological support of the "National Council for the Refoundation" for health, created by the President of the French Republic, in order to encourage the integration of citizens, patients and family caregivers in the co-construction of health innovations.

Alexandre is also an educator having taught organizational transformation and critical thinking in management at HEC Montreal from 2015 to 2019 and is now an associate professor at the Institut du management de l'École des Hautes Études en Santé Publique (EHESP) in France, where his teaching focuses on democracy in health, the integration of the patient experience and change management.

Always keen to pursue efforts to advance the culture of partnership in Quebec, he continues to co-teach the course on "Foundations of Patient Partnership" at the Faculty of Medicine of the Université de Montréal, open to all.

Finally, Alexandre regularly contributes to the science of patient engagement (18 academic articles, 5 book chapters and 5 professional articles) and to the promotion of these practices (more than 320 conferences and public interventions since 2010).
