The CEPPP is collaborating with the Cardiac Arrhythmia Network of Canada (CANet) to integrate the patient’s perspective in all of the network’s research projects.

In 2015, CANet committed to developing a network that includes those affected by arrhythmia at every level of engagement to ensure that the focus of CANet’s research is aligned with the needs of patients and caregivers. For this project, the CEPPP worked with CANet to develop a patient engagement (PE) strategy and trained patients, CANet members, and associated health professionals on how to build effective patient partnerships for health research, as well as how to recruit and mobilize patient partners for their PE activities. Finally, the CEPPP evaluated and analyzed the PE activities carried out throughout the network to provide a continuous feedback loop, adjustments and improvements of this strategy over time and to produce research products related to the impact of patient engagement.
